My research interests lie in the field of neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration, focusing on the effects of proinflammatory cytokines and peripheral immune cells involved in harmful processes affecting central and peripheral nervous system, in different models of neuropathology. 

Furthermore, I concentrate my attention on both the study of pathological conditions that fall within field of clinical toxicology and on regulatory affairs.
