The control of drug
bio-activity is a crucial requisite. In this aim, the use of light as trigger
of the biological effect is ideal as it allows an excellent control of the
treatment in terms of location, time and dosage. My research work aims to the
development of new photo-activatable therapeutic strategies, in particular in
the photo-controlled release of unconventional therapeutic agents
(NO, 1O2, heat). I am also interested in the study of
photochromic systems in nanoparticles.
